Philanthropy
My personal hero, Ralph Waldo Emerson says it very well, "What is success? To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!" When I set out on the adventure of running my own business, I knew that this sentiment would drive me, and over a decade later, it has. Every year I am privileged to work with the Coastal Therapeutic Riding Program to raise funds so that they can continue their mission of providing equine assisted therapies to the special needs community of Coastal NC. Through our annual photos with Santa Day and magical Unicorn Sessions, we raise nearly $3,000 per year. It has been invaluable to me to be able to show my own son and daughter how important serving our community is while supporting a cause so dear to my heart. What grew out of a need in the community to give our special needs kids a low pressure, fun experience with Santa has become one of the most looked forward to events of the year. CTRP and I believe that every child deserves a magical childhood. Please message me to find out how you can be involved in our fundraisers!
